Online Student Show – Friday March 26th

Once again, the Beat Harvest students are going to bring great music to your home in our live stream student show. We will be streaming live on the Beat Harvest YouTube channel at 7:00pm on Friday, March 26th. So, put on your favorite casual attire, grab some snacks, sit back and enjoy an eclectic evening of video performances from the Beat Harvest students.

Beat Harvest shows are an opportunity for music students to perform in front of a live audience. They choose what to play, get together with friends and family to rehearse and then share their talents with the community.

The ‘Donate‘ button to the right is our virtual tip jar for this event. All of the profits from this event go to the Beat Harvest program, which includes two music education scholarships for young people from our community each year.

So put on your favorite casual attire, grab some snacks, sit back and enjoy an eclectic evening of video performances from the Beat Harvest students. It’ll be just like MTV in 80’s.

Student Show – Saturday, April 13th

Our next student show will be on Saturday, April 13th 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00pm at the Mariposa Arts Park. You and your family can bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an afternoon in this beautiful outdoor venue.
This show will be part of the ‘Creek Week’ event that will bring together artists and local businesses to celebrate and raise awareness about the Mariposa Creek Parkway. The Parkway is a multi-use trail that runs along the Mariposa Creek. It’s a beautiful place to take a stroll, walk your dog, ride your bike or just get from one side of town to the other. Creek Week is an opportunity for local people to learn about the future development plan for the parkway and share their and ideas.

Young Songwriters Help Fire Victims

Songwriting kids in Mariposa are helping people impacted by the Detwiler fire. ‘What’s Waiting For Me?’ was written and recorded by children at a summer music program organized by the Mariposa County Arts Council and Mariposa County Parks and Recreation. They also made musical instruments out of trash that are featured on the recording. Download the song for $1 and we’ll donate all the profits to the Mariposa Community Foundation to help people impacted by the fire.
